Def Leppard have released the audio from their Just Like '73 performance in Ottawa, ON featuring special guest Tom Morello.

Def Leppard New Live Release

Although not technically a new single, the band have released the full audio of 'Just Like '73' from the recent Ottawa show via Planet Rock radio.

'Just Like '73' was performed on 16th July in Ottawa, ON at LeBreton Flats park.

A show played as part of the Ottawa Bluesfest event.

Tom Morello, who played a solo on the studio recording, joined the band and played throughout the song.

His solo can be heard in full on this live version which Joe played during his 2nd August Joe Elliott Show on Planet Rock.

Joe explained he had the audio especially mixed for his show and intended to play it last week but it got bumped due to his Ozzy Osbourne tribute.

The audio includes Joe's full introduction of Tom.

This is the first "radio only" audio release since early 2018 when three tracks were broadcast on Absolute Radio from the Royal Albert Hall show.

'Animal' was then released on a bonus seven inch single with the deluxe edition of the 'Definitely The Official Story' book in 2023.

Joe also played The Struts Bad Company cover from the upcoming Can't Get Enough tribute album and confirmed his and Phil's involvement rather than the full band.

Planet Rock finally added the On Demand audio from Joe's 2nd August show last night after the 9pm replay.

You can listen to the Joe Elliott show again at Planet Rock's site and hear the full audio of 'Just Like '73'.

The audio will be available on demand until Tuesday 12th August.

The 2nd August show is also repeated again tomorrow, 7th August, at 4am.

Well, you may have read that Tom Morello got up with Def Leppard recently, but I bet you weren't expecting to hear it tonight.

I had that mixed specifically for the show. In fact, it was going to be played last week if it hadn't been for the fact that it got nudged a week because of the Ozzy Osbourne tribute.

So there you go — from Ottawa, just about ten days ago on tour in Canada that is — Tom Morello and Def Leppard doing a live version of Just Like 73.
