DEF LEPPARD's Collection Volume Three Box Set To Be Released In 2021
Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott mentioned the next box set during his weekly radio show on Planet Rock and said it will be released in 2021.
Joe mentioned the third box set once again on his weekly Planet Rock radio show.
He said it will be released in 2021 whilst playing the band's 1987 live cover of Alice Cooper's 'Elected'.
This recording will be included and was a leftover B-Side recorded during the 'Hysteria' era but ultimately released as the B-Side to 'Heaven Is' in the UK in 1993 and various editions of the 'Have You Ever...' and 'Stand Up' singles in 1992 around the world.
It was also later included on the second bonus disc of the 2006 'Hysteria Deluxe Edition' album.
He had last mentioned the box set in October 2019 during an interview and suggested it will also include up to three live recordings with Queen's Brian May.
Collection Volume Two was issued in June 2019 and featured the four 1990s studio albums.
The first box set featured the 1983 L.A. Forum recording of 'Travellin' Band'. The second did not include the 1992 'Now I'm Here' recording from the Freddie Tribute even though it was part of the 1992/1993 B-Sides and on the original 'Adrenalize' Deluxe Edition.
'Collection Volume Three' should include the albums 'X/Ten', 'YEAH! and 'Songs From The Sparkle Lounge' all released in the 2000s.
As for the three recordings Joe mentions featuring Brian May. These could be 'Now I'm Here' from 1992 along with two others recorded in 2003 and 2006.
Brian performed 'Tie Your Mother Down' in October 2003 in London during the X/Ten tour and then in May 2006 performed on '20th Century Boy' in Las Vegas and the VH1 Rock Honours show.
The only other performance with the band was in September 1987 in London on the Hysteria tour where the first played 'Now I'm Here'.

7th November 2020 - The Joe Elliott Show Quotes
Def Leppard
"Honestly recorded for a laugh that was. We are big fans of Alice. And for some reason the guys, I wasn't there. I walked in on a rehearsal and they were playing it and I said why are you playing Elected?. And they said well we just like it. So we threw it into the set at a gig in Tilburg in Holland in 1987. So it couldn't just playing a new songs from the then brand new album Hysteria. No, we had to throw in a classic from 1973 as well."
"It is about to come out on the third box set which is coming out in 2021. It was originally a B-Side in 1992 I think for one of the Adrenalize songs. I can't remember which one. But anyway that's the Def Leppard version of the classic Alice Cooper song Elected. And because it's election week I thought I'd throw that one in."
