DEF LEPPARD's PHIL COLLEN Recording New Songs During Lockdown (Video)

Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen was interviewed live on Instagram last night and mentioned working on new songs.

Phil appeared live on the futone Instagram page on 1st July for a one hour chat from his home.

Phil talked about joining Def Leppard/Pyromania success, guitars, Delta Deep, heath/fitness, working out, stopping drinking/being vegan, his Mercedes GL45 car, travelling/favourites places, Rock In Rio 2017, changes in the UK since he moved away, dealing with Coronavirus changes, recording/writing at home, his PC Supreme guitar and much more.

The event lasted from 8 to 9pm UK time.

.Phil mentioned he is writing and recording new songs at home without being specific as to what the songs are for

,p> Joe recently suggested the band are continuing to work on their next album while at home.

An album that has been worked on since 2015 with one new song already released as a Christmas single in 2018.

New Music

"I've been recording. I've been writing stuff. I've been working out everyday. Just stuff."

And I don't think it's gonna be as normal as it was, but it's gonna be a version of it where we can all kind of be OK with it."

2021 Touring

"And you know like I said, A year from last week we'll be doing the tour. It's just a pause you know."

"So if everything goes right and we do a little bit like the New Zealanders, we'll get back and we'll e on tour and it'll be hopefully great."
