RICK SAVAGE Gives Update On Next DEF LEPPARD Studio Album
Def Leppard members Rick Savage and Joe Elliott were recently interviewed about gave more details about the upcoming next studio album.
The new single 'Rejoice' was released in January with a lyric video.
Joe and Sav have been interviewed and shared more about new songs and the next album.
The Next Studio Album
Joe and Sav discussed the recent Las Vegas Residency and gave an update on new music.
Sav has said the band have lots of new songs and could put an album out 'next week' which ties in to comments last year by Vivian.
Also that the band are still writing new material and the album may be released later in 2026 or in early 2027.
This is also in line with comments by Vivian about a release in the next year.
The 12 date residency ended on 28th February in Las Vegas at The Colosseum.
The next shows take place later this month in India.
17/18 New Songs
Vivian said in September 2025 that the band had up to 17/18 new songs for the next album.
Also that it would likely be released within a year in either 2026 or early 2027
And that he had submitted his own new song described as 'a country song'.
Album Announcement/Next Single
Joe told Planet Rock in January that the album would be announced later this summer.
He said the full album announcement will likely take place when the next new single is released in time for the June/July UK tour.
And at the same time said it's likely 'Just Like '73' might be included on the album.
His comments suggested an album release in 2026 rather than 2027.
