DEF LEPPARD Live In St. Paul, MN 2025 (Show Report/Setlist)

Def Leppard played a 2025 tour show last night in St. Paul, MN with 18 songs performed.
The show took place at the 17,000+ capacity Grandstand Stage at Minnesota State Fairgrounds.
Another show played at a State Fair venue.
The first visit to this city since April 2017.
Back In Minnesota
After a casino theater show in California and their brief detour back up to Canada for a private show, they headed down to Minnesota.
Back in the USA as we approach the end of the Summer Tour 2025.
And back to a state fair, this time the Minnesota State Fair in St. Paul, MN.
A familiar venue for the band and their sixth visit here.
Last time here in 2015 they also made a quick return with an arena date a few months later but just one visit this time for another outdoor Grandstand show.
Good weather for the first show in the city in a while.
And for their first time playing with a new support band.
Brother Cane
Brother Cane opened the show from 7pm local time.
A band who come from Birmingham, Alabama and formed in 1990 and the current reformed line-up has been touring since 2022.
They released three albums in the 90s but no new music has been released since 1998.
They have a Leppard connection in singer/guitarist Damon Johnson who has played on Ricky Warwick's solo albums and toured with him in the UK.
Ricky being one of Joe's close friends and former Lep support act both solo and with Black Star Riders.
They played an 8 song set from 7pm to 7:45pm which included their first two singles from 1993 'Got No Shame' and 'That Don't Satisfy Me'.

Fireworks In St. Paul
The crowd were treated to another great sunset as the 8:15pm show time approached.
The band took the stage as darkness descended in Minnesota.
Time for another show in Falcon Heights / St. Paul, MN, but not Minneapolis, which is a twin city 12 miles to the West of here.
Sadly not quite a full sell out with empty seats visible at either side of the big Grandstand, but the floor section and the middle of the Grandstand were very full.
Not quite up to the full 17,000 capacity but probably at least over 10,000 fans in attendance.
The band's first time at this event for ten years and exactly 14 years after the 2011 show played on the same date during the Mirrorball tour.
Today also marks exactly ten years since the 2015 show.
The stage looked not unlike the one in Springfield but with covering over the metal structure and two smaller side screens.
The usual lights/ramps on stage but using the festivals own big screen behind them and lighting rig.
This rig included long strips of LEDs.
After the Pyro Clock ended 'Rock! Rock!' started the show strongly and despite not lengthy fan broadcasts they were quite a few good videos.
Another night of rock ensued with the third and final State Fair show of the Summer Tour 2025.
The last one had the crowd standing on the race track dirt but the floor section here was all seated and it was thankfuly not as hot.
When Love And Hate Collide
The sunset and the State Fair's ferris wheel provided a cool backdrop as they reached the mid point of the show and the changes from Vancouver were carried over to this show.
'Die Hard The Hunter' was again not played and instead 'Let It Go' was followed by 'This Guitar'.
And later followed up by 'When Love & Hate Colide' being played as encore song #1 - (see video clips below).
Following it's debut in 2025 at the private show in Vancouver the song makes it way back to the main set.
And no doubt will be played in the UK next month as the band's biggest UK hit.
Following the trend of the song being played in Australia and/or Japan ahead of the UK winter arena tours of 2011, 2015 and 2018.
It was only played once in October 2003 in the USA until it was a regularly played song in 2018 across the USA and Canada.
And also, like Vancouver, it was the full electric version.
And it was played without many visuals being shown on the main screen behind them.
Happy Birthday Vivian Campbell
It was the day after Vivian's 63rd birthday and as is usually the tradition on the actual day or the day before and day after shows they would sing 'Happy Birthday' before the acoustic song.
And this time was no different with Joe leading the crowd in singing to him before 'This Guitar'.
But unlike previous shows Joe also made mention of Vivian's birthday earlier before 'Armageddon It' during his usual introduction.
And more importantly, Joe reminded the crowd 'He's healthy' - see videos below.
The band continued to rock the Minnesota crowd all the way up to 'Pour Some Sugar On Me'.
The singing once again almost as loud as the band.
This crowd reaction getting acknowledged by Joe at the end with an "Amazing! thank you so much.".
And thanking the crowd for their years of support.
Safe to say a great night was had in Minnesota and just two more shows on this leg ahead of the UK return and their 'seemingly' one-off show in Indiana in October.
Next up two more days off and then a return for a third year in a row to Hollywood, Florida and back indoors.
18 Song Setlist
A 18 song setlist was played.
'Just Like '73', 'This Guitar' and 'When Love & Hate Collide' were played here for the first time.
St. Paul History
The first visit to St. Paul took place in September 1993 on the Adrenalize tour.
Also the first visit to the Minnesota State Fair.
Minnesota State Fair was played again in 2000, 2007 and 2011.
The April 2003 show in St. Paul saw them play the Xcel Energy Center for the first time and their first time indoors here.
A fifth visit to Minnesota State Fair took place in August 2015.
They made a quick return in October 2015 at Xcel Energy Center on the same 2015 world tour.
They returned once more in October 2016 with another show at Xcel Energy Center.
The last visit here was in April 2017 at Xcel Energy Center.
Last night's show was the 10th performance in St. Paul, MN.
(You may have noticed a couple of mistakes on past St. Paul show pages (now corrected). They have played Xcel Energy Center four times and now six at Minnesota State Fair. And one page was incorrectly named Minneapolis.)
The next Def Leppard show takes place in Hollywood, FL on 29th August.
