DEF LEPPARD Live 2026 Summer Tour In Glasgow (Show Report/Setlist)
Def Leppard played a Live 2026 tour show in Glasgow, Scotland last night with 19 songs performed.
The show took place at the 13,500 capacity OVO Hydro arena.
The band's first visit to Glasgow since 2023.
The third time at this venue and a return to a UK arena.
Cooling Down In Glasgow
Apart from Dortmund the band have skilfully avoided the extreme heat wave in Europe/UK on this tour so far.
After an outdoor show in Belfast in pleasant weather they arrived to Glasgow in Scotland just as the UK returned to more normal summer conditions.
Aruund 25C instead of 35C! and, unlike 2023 in Glasgow Green, no torrential downpour to deal with.
The band made the move from outdoors back into a UK arena venue for the first time since 18th December 2018 at Wembley Arena.
A tour where they also played this venue, OVO Hydro, as part of the largest UK arena tour of their career with 12 shows.
Only six this time and five in arenas with this one the first of them.
And, as with the recent shows in Helsinki, Zurich and Dortmund, they brought with them the full Las Vegas Residency / Live 2026 tour show.
The spaceship like arena stands on the same complex as the SECC venues the band first played in June 1992 on the Adrenalize tour.
This show would see them play their most spectacular show stage-wise since the In the Round show at SECC 34 years ago.
<A show that included the longest song on the 'Adrenalize' album in the setlist, it's first time being played in the UK.
Only two shows have been played elsewhere in this city since 1992, so this was a return to very familar ground after their debut at Belsonic in Belfast.
And as the show time got nearer fan photos from inside the venue revealed it was almost, if not totally, sold out.
Wuld Joe dare to mention anything about the World Cup after Scotland's recent exit? and would Phil or Vivian wear a kilt as they did here in 1996?.
Rejoicing In Glasgow
A crowd of over 13,000 fans packed into an arena that looks a bit like The Sphere in Las Vegas on the inside with more of a theatre setup than s traditional arena, but no giant curved LED screen here and about 5,000 less seats.
Two big creens either side of the main one giving fans a great view.
Althogh not so much at the sides of the stage as seen in one of the many fan videos that were posted during the show.
A show that kicked off again at 9pm with 'Rejoice' making it's denut in Scotland along with two other songs.
Unlike 'White Lightning' in 1992, not quite it's UK debut having been played in Belfast two days ago.
Many more videos and photos were posted online during the show tham the previous two UK arena tours in 2018 and 2015.
Showing us glimpses of a second great show played to kick off this shorter UK tour.
Not quite as short as 2023 but the fewest arena shows played on a tour here since 2011'a 'Mirror Ball'.
No radio broadcast for this concert but there are many Fan Videos posted on YouTube to enjoy.
Loud And Proud At The Hydro
Joe greeted the crowd before 'Let's Get Rocked' and reminded them of the last visit in 2023 when it was in his words "f***ing freezing cold and wet.".
And noted how loud they were before later referencing the last show here in 2018.
Stating that - "It was loud then, it's louder tonight.".
And you can hear this on all the Fan Videos so far showing amost all of the show.
Another loud arena crowd which as Joe says matches the crowds from 2018 which at the time the band said was their best ever UK tour as well as the best audiences.
No World Cup mentions by Joe which is probably for the best!.
The band now back to being a UK arena band for the first time in eight long years.
Another day off for the band between shows, as is now the norm.
Next up the band head back home where it all began in 1977 in Sheffield as mentioned by Joe before Rock On in his very long intro for Sav.
19 Song Setlist
'Rejoice', 'Personal Jesus' and 'Just Like '73' were all played here for the first time.
