Def Leppard played show number two of The Stadium Tour in Miami, FL last night with another epic 18 song set.

The show took place at the 64,767 capacity (and aptly named) Hard Rock Stadium.

The first show in Miami since way back in February 1993 on the Adrenalize tour using the In the Round stage.

Only their 4th show ever played in Miami.

Show #2

Saturday night in a packed NFL Stadium in Miami, Florida in bright sunshine.

What could go wrong?. Nothing...despite pre-show weather forecasts predicting severe thunderstorms for Miami and heavy rain.

For Def Leppard's set at least they did not appear after the "wet and wild" tour opener in Atlanta, GA.

At Show #2 on the epic three year Stadium Tour the setlist was unchanged with 18 songs played as they were on 16th June.

Happy Birthday Sir Paul

Like that show there was a small extra in the form of another little acoustic snippet by Joe (on his Thrust Stage).

Having honoured his hero David Bowie in Atlanta marking 50 years since 'Ziggy Stardust' was released, this time it was the tun of a Beatle.

Joe played a very short burst of the opening lines to The Beatles song 'I've Just Seen A Face'.

The occasion (as you may have heard) was Sir Paul MacCartney's 80th birthday with Joe then leading the crowd in singing 'Happy Birthday' (to ya...) to the legendary Liverpudlian who will soon be headlining Glastonbury.

Video footage was shot with Joe suggesting it will appear on YouTube. Until then watch it below.

New Songs Keep Their Place

'Take What You Want', 'Fire It Up', 'Kick' and 'This Guitar' all remained in the unchanged 18 song setlist.

All sounded fantastic during the many live broadcasts by fans and other video clips.

In fact as with show #1 the whole band seem to be in stunning form and Joe's vocals in great shape.

Acoustic Snippet #2

For the second show running Joe played an acoustic snippet. This time before 'Two Steps Behind'.

(Now added in its correct place below - it was after 2am!...).

Both snippets played so far were tied to prominent dates but this could be an ongoing thing. Something that became a regular event during the 2003 tour and has happened many times since.

David Bowie Heroes Cover Song

Like the 2018 tour when a cover of 'Personal Jesus' by Depeche Mode was played over the PA before the countdown ended, this time they are playing a new Def Leppard cover of 'Heroes' by David Bowie.

Only noticed in the new Miami footage and not whilst trying to keep up with the Live Updates. It can be heard in the Fan Videos linked below.

This suggests a new released of some kind of perhaps another Spotify Singles type E.P. at some point. Or even a proper YEAH! Part 2.

New Book Advertised

A new biography/memoir type book called Definitely The Official Def Leppard Story is currently being advertised on the side video screens before Def Leppard's countdown begins.

Motley Crue/Tommy Lee

Tommy Lee played the first three songs before Tommy Clufetos took over again. He returned to play piano during 'Home Sweet Home'.

The band dropped one song from the set played in Atlanta.
