The Stadium Tour By Whittier Daily News
Def Leppard’s show is a masterclass in rock performance rhythm and song positioning. Open with a song from the new album (“Take What You Want”) while everyone’s still coming back from the bar or bathroom, while quickly highlighting the band’s dual-guitar attack. Jump right into some old stuff (“Let It Go”), fan service for those who’ve been with you throughout the journey. Add a hit (“Animal”) from your biggest album (“Hysteria”), then a top 10 hit (“Foolin'”) from your breakout record (“Pyromania”). Sprinkle some ballads and acoustic numbers in the middle, turn the rocker and turn on the house lights for the finale.
Every part of the stadium show is big, bold, loud and well-produced – just like their music.
