On This Day in Def Leppard History - 8th March, the following concerts and events took place. Including the 'Hello America' single reaching Number 45 in the UK charts on this day in 1980.

The single had been released in February 1980 from the 'On Through The Night' album.

On this day in 1988 the band played a show in Oslo, Norway on the Hysteria European tour.

This was the second of two nights at the Skedsmohallen venue in Lillestrom just outside of Oslo. The last known playing of 'Love And Affection' until the 22nd March 2013 opening show of the VIVA! Hysteria residency in Las Vegas. A 25 year gap.

Earlier today the new Tesla album 'Shock' was released around the world. The band's eighth studio album was produced by Phil Collen who also co-wrote many songs as well as contributing guitars and backing vocals.
