- Location / San Antonio, TX, USA
- Venue / San Antonio Convention Center Arena/HemisFair Arena
The first show by the band in this city since June 1980 on the On through The Night tour.
The third time at this venue.
The venue was located with in HemisFair Park across the road from the Alamodome in the centre of the city.
It was opened in April 1968 and was closed in May 1995 before being demolished in June of that year.
The Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center has now expanded over where the arena once stood.
The venue was also sometimes known as the HemisFair Arena.
The last night of the tour with Blackfoot where they decided to play pranks on Def Leppard during their opening set.
In addition to throwing ping=pong balls on stage as they played they also unveiled a banner with the words "Dik Likker" in the Def Leppard font behind them.
This name was later used for the infamous "Boiler Passes" on the US Pyromania tour in 1983.
