The first Def Leppard 7" single was released in September 1979.

'Getcha Rocks Off' was released after the band signed to Phonogram Records in the UK and advertised as their 'debut maxi-single'.

The label released the debut E.P. in a new order with 'Getcha Rocks Off' as the lead track.

The single had a silver label - not a sticker.

It was housed in a plain white paper sleeve with center hole to show the label.

This new release of the bands first recordings managed to reach number 84 in the UK singles chart due to the mass press exposure the band were getting in rock magazines like Sounds.

This is the only version of the E.P. that charted leading to it later being referred to in the press and interviews as the 'Getcha Rocks Off' E.P..
