Show Intro
"Evening all and welcome once again to You Know Where, yes it's Planet Rock."
"It is the Joe Elliott Show and what a pleasure it is to be with you on this lead up to Christmas."
"But there are no Christmas songs tonight, just great rock and roll starting off with David Bowie."
David Bowie
"The first David Bowie album to feature the mighty Mike Garson on keyboards and of course some stellar work from Mick Ronson, Woody Woodmansey and Trevor Bolder aka The Spiders From Mars."
"1973 the album is Aladdin Sane, the track we heard, the opening track in fact, Watch That Man."
The Kinks
"Okay Word of Mouth is This is the Kinks."
"And before that we heard The Kinks."
"From a fantastic album called Word Of Mouth with a brilliant bit of work called Do It Again."
Paul McCartney
"From their final album back in 1979 that is Paul McCartney and Wings, the album is Back To The Egg."
"The song we heard Old Siam, Sir."
Ian Hunter
"Well it is said that you're never alone with a schizophrenic, just ask Ian Hunter."
"And before that Ian Hunter from 1979, album title supplied by Mick Ronson."
"Apparently read on the inside of a toilet door in some nightclub."
"The album is You're Never Alone With A Schizophrenic."
"The song that we heard Life After Death."
Toby And The Whole Truth
"That is from a very interesting bit of work by Toby Jepson, welcome back Toby, without the Wayward Sons on this particular project."
"It is Toby and the Whole Truth from Lookout Volume 1."
"So the good news is there's probably going to be a Volume 2."
"It's a really eclectic collection of songs, this one seemed the appropriate one to play this week."
"It is called What Will It Take, I really like that, well done Toby."
"You are listening to the Joe Elliott Show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock."
"Coming up we're going in through the outdoor with Led Zeppelin."
Led Zeppelin
"And before that we heard Led Zeppelin."
"Now here's a nice little story for you, back in May of 1991 I was invited by Robert to his daughter Carmen's wedding to his then bass player Charlie."
"And he said we're going to go out for a drink the night before and we actually went to the pub and he said come on we're actually going to go in through the outdoor."
"And it was the actual door that referenced the album title."
"Led Zeppelin 1979, brilliant bit of work, all 10 minutes and 34 seconds of Carouselambra."
Brian Protheroe
"Yes it is from admittedly the softer side of rock but that song has always intrigued me."
"It's a gentleman called Brian Prothero, more of an actor than a singer."
"But when that song was released back in I believe about 1974-75 it really did resonate with a lot of people and nobody more than me really."
"Love that bit of work, it is called Pinball."
Bryan Ferry
"Well we just went in through the outdoor so why don't we just join the in crowd, this is Bryan Ferry."
"And before that Bryan Ferry from an album called Another Time Another Place."
"A song originally recorded by Dobie Gray."
"Probably best known for the song Drift Away."
"We heard The 'In' Crowd."
The Mooney Suzuki
"I could listen to that song all day every day, it is such a joyous piece of work."
"It is a band called The Mooney Suzuki, the song is Alive And Amplified."
Show Outro
"And that my friends is about it for this week, it's been a real pleasure as always."
"I shall be back with you next week at exactly the same time."
"So as they like to say don't touch that dial, where else would you want to be anyway?."
"So until then I shall leave you with this, the first 12 inch single I ever bought back in 1977."
"This is the Ramones and Sheena Is A Punk Rocker."
"Until next week, see ya!."
