JOE ELLIOTT Says DEF LEPPARD Already Actively Recording For Next Studio Album

Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott has been interviewed to promote the Pyromania 40 box set and mentioned the next studio album.

'Just Like '73' was premiered one 13th June and then given a worldwide digital release.

The first release of new material since the 'Diamond Star Halos' album in May 2022.

The 'Pyromania 40th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition' box set was released in April 2024.

Just Like '73 Single

Joe has spoken to Classic Rock Magazine in the UK in their new September 2024 edition (Aerosmith cover photo) and was asked about the current single 'Just Like '73'.

Joe talked about TomMorello's guest appearance on the song.

Next Def Leppard Album

After being asked about a recent quote from Phil about the next album Joe confirmed the band are already actively writing and recording new music for it.

Though, unlike Phil, he did not go as far as speculating on a release date.

Joe said the band plan to continue to record and write remotely as they had on the May 2022 'Diamond Star Halos' album.

The Summer Stadium Tour/The Wold Tour 2023

Joe was also asked about the 2024 Summer Stadium Tour and last year's The World Tour with Motley Crue.

He said he was very excited for the 2024 tour and also spoke about the Pyromania box set, Dortmund 1983 show and Iron Maiden.

Upcoming Collaboration

Joe revealed he has agreed to sing for/with another artist but said it has "not been announced yet" and did not give any details of who it might be with.

He also said he would one day love to collaborate with Elton John or Paul McCartney.

The interview was conducted two months before Joe turned 65, which he references.
