29 Years Ago DEF LEPPARD Release HAVE YOU EVER NEEDED SOMEONE SO BAD Single
Def Leppard released their classic Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad single on this day in 1992 in the USA.
The third single to be released from the Adrenalize album.
It was released on 4th August 1992 reaching Number 12 and spending 20 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Its UK release would follow at the end of the same month.
The highest charting single from the album in the USA after 'Let's Get Rocked' peaked at 15 and 'Make Love Like A Man' only peaked at 36.
The chart run of 20 weeks makes it one of only four singles to spend 20 or more weeks on the Billboard chart. The others being 'Two Steps Behind' (1993) and 'PSSOM', 'Love Bites' (both 1988).
In later years various band members have said this single was their highest selling in the USA in terms of physical copies sold.
