DEF LEPPARD To Play Three Shows In INDIA In March 2026
Def Leppard have just announced three shows for March 2026 as part of their first tour of India.
The Live 2026 tour was first announced on 1st September with shows in the UK, Europe and Asia.
Three new shows have been added to the 2026 tour.
India Tour 2026
The band will play their first ever live shows in India in March 2026 as part of the Live 2026 tour.
The first tour of India takes place one month after the Las Vegas Residency ends in February.
Three shows are scheduled in Shillong, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
All venues are outdoors.
Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (Polo Grounds) has a capacity of 15,100 - (not to be confused with Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Dehli which has a 60,000 capacity.)
Jio World Garden has a capacity of 9,000 and is an "open air turfed area".
NICE Grounds has a capacity of over 26,000 and is an outdoor area where a temporary stage is set up, previously played by Metallica and Ed Sheeran.

India 1998
The band have actually performed in India before way back in 1998, their only performances of that year.
Two playback performances took place in Mumbai and New Dehli in November 1998 on a short break from the 'Euphoria' album sessions.
A small promo show in Mumbai followed by a two song playback performance at the Channel [V] Awards in New Dehli.
The band were also awarded a Lifetime Achievement award at the event.

India 2008/1996
Two shows in the country were announced in January 2008 and scheduled for May before being postponed to October during the Sparkle Lounge tour.
The shows in Bangalore (Palace Grounds) and Mumbai (MMRDA Grounds) were later cancelled along with a proposed first visit in the same year to China.
Planned shows in India at the start of the 1996 Slang tour were also called off before tickets went on sale.
