DEF LEPPARD Resume 2025 Summer Tour In Milwaukee, WI (Show Report/Setlist)

Def Leppard played a 2025 tour show last night in Milwaukee, WI with 18 songs performed.
The show took place at the 23,000 capacity American Family Insurance Amphitheater.
The first show by the band in this city since July 2022 on The Stadium Tour.
The first show of the main Summer Tour run of shows after a month long break.

And we're back...again for a third tour start of 2025.
Or technically speaking the opening night of the main summer tour leg.
No worries with the weather for this return to outdoor summer touring in the USA and it was actually hotter in the band's UK homeland than in Wisconsin.
A return here after a last visit three years ago on The Stadium Tour just five miles away at American Family Field.
And (as shown below) a 13th overall visit to this city with now 8 of these shows played at this venue.
The 2022 show was played to around 40,000 fans and this venue was just as packed with over 20,000 fans in attendance and probably close to a 23,000 sell out.
Old friends Tesla got the show started as they did for most of the 2015/2016 tours.
An 11 song set including favourites 'Modern Day Cowboy', 'Love Song' and 'Signs'.
Some shots by fans of the Merch stands suggested a continuing Pyromania themed set with Pyro shirts.
And sure enough the Pyro Clock countdown and familiar opening started just before 9pm.
And at 9:05pm the band hit the stage.
Fireworks In Milwaukee
The Thundergod Rick Allen posted his usual pre show video promising there would be rock.
Joined once again by Sav.
'Rock! Rock!' kicked off the night and by 'Let's Get Rocked' those of use following online actually got to see and hear some of the show.
A slow one to follow from elsewhere but you could tell the crowd were loud and singing every word.
Video footage reveals the band were once again on fire (Pyromania style) and those on the lawn had up to six extra video screens to get close up views of the show.
This is addition to two side screens near the main stage.
No Thrust at this venue and unusually for an Amphitheatre a GA/Standing floor section in front of the stage.
The band's stage set up pretty much the same as the 2024 tour and the already played shows in 2025.
A photo by Phil's tech John Zocco during Tesla's set showed the venue was almost full well before Leppard hit the stage.
The crowd on the lawn also had a great view of the downtown Milwaukee skyline and a fireworks display during 'Love Bites' as part of the Summerfest events taking place in the local area.
The Hoan Bridge was also lit up (in the background (see 'Love Bites' video in the Fan Videos playlist).
This being the first night of Summerfest 2025.
An event billed as 'The World's Largest Music Festival' taking place over three weekends.
Joe told the crowd it was a "f**king great night" later in the show.
As mentioned by Vivian in his recent SiriusXM interview the band will now continue to play in various locations and keep out of the 'major markets' for the rest of the summer.
And next up a return to Oklahoma.
18 Song Setlist
An 18 song setlist was played.
'Just Like '73' was played here for the first time.
'Take What You Want' did not return despite Joe saying it would be back at some point in the last Behind The Scenes video.
Milwaukee History
The first visit to Milwaukee was in June 1980 on their first American tour at Mecca Arena.
A seven year gap followed before an In The Round show at the same arena in 1987 on the Hysteria tour.
They returned in November 1992 for another In The Round show at that venue.
The first show at last night's venue (as Marcus Amphitheater) was played in June 1996 and was the largest USA crowd of the Slang tour.
They went back indoors in 2003 on the X/Ten tour.
A run of shows at American Family Insurance Amphitheater (mostly under the Marcus Amphitheater name) began in 2006 with more shows in 2007, 2009, 2011, 2016 (w/ Tesla) and 2018 under the new name.
The last visit to the city coming in July 2022 on The Stadium Tour at American Family Field.
Last night's show was the 13th performance in Milwaukee.
The next Def Leppard show takes place in Thackerville, OK on 21st June.
