DEF LEPPARD Live In Winnipeg, MB 2025 (Show Report/Setlist)

Def Leppard played a 2025 tour show last night in Winnipeg, MB with 18 songs performed.

The show took place at the 32,343 capacity Princess Auto Stadium.

The first of two Rockin' Thunder music festival shows.

The first show in this city since July 2019.

Back In Winnipeg

Moving from East Coast time back to Central Time the band headed over from Quebec to Manitoba.

And into sunny weather after the wind and rain at the last show.

No delays for their return to a stadium setting and their first ever outdoor show in Winnipeg.

All previous shows played at two different arenas between 1983 and 2019.

The first of two shows billed as 'Rockin' Thunder' with thankfully no thunder storms.

Support Bands

Canadian band Toque started the show at 5:25pm as the crowd were still coming in.

The doors only having been open since 5pm.

Their 8 song set included their new single 'Fighters' which was released on the same day and a cover by fellow Canadian band April Wine who played at the last show.

They were followed by Foreigner who, like Bret Michaels and The Struts, had Mr. Rick Allen watching their set.

Followed by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts who last supported the band on The Stadium Tour in 2022.

Their set of course included the mega hit 'I Love Rock 'n' Roll'.

And then, as Instagram started working again for people following online, it was the turn of Def Leppard.

Rockin' Thunder Part One

The last Canadian being in a field, this was the first proper Canadian stadium show since Rogers Centre in Toronto in August 2024.

But this time with no closed roof and around 20 to 30,000 fans packed into the stadium.

A slightly smaller stage than the massive one in Quebec City but still big enough with two big screens either side of the stage.

A setting which looked not unlike The Stadium Tour of 2022 or 2024 minus the massive thrust stage.

But there was a return of a slightly smaller Thrust stage at this show (for those who like that sort of thing).

The show started at just after the scheduled time of 9:30 at 9:35pm as the band rocked Winnipeg.

The three "rock" openers in a row got things started and. unlike the recent shows, there were actually live updates from fans.

The band in fine form again with a crowd singing along to 'Foolin'' and 'Animal'.

The sun set behind them providing a nice backdrop as they headed towards the acoustic section.

As in Quebec City two more songs played here for the first time.

The hits continued until the four song Pyromania/Hysteria ending.

An extended 'Hysteria' end singalong leading into 'PSSOM'.

No continuous live fan broadcasts throughout the show but enough footage to see this was another great show in a massive stadium.

Now becoming a habit for the band after only playing a handful of them in the first 25 or so years of their career.

This almost completes the set of different types of venues on this tour with theatres, arenas, fields, amphitheatres, stadiums, and even beaches, all played in 2025.

And now they have just one day to recover before another Rockin' Thunder show in Alberta as they stay outdoors.

This time a racetrack setting and more Stadium Tour friends returning to support them.

18 Song Setlist

An 18 song setlist was played.

'Just Like '73' and 'This Guitar' were played here for the first time.

Winnipeg History

The first visit to Winnipeg was in July 1983 on the Pyromania tour at Winnipeg Arena.

They returned to the same venue for In The Round shows in 1987/1992 on the Hysteria/Adrenalize tours.

The same arena was played again in 1996 and 2003 on the Slang/X tours.

MTS Centre was played for the first time in 2005 on the Rock of Ages tour.

That venue was played again in 2008 and 2015.

The last visit came in July 2019 at the same venue now called Bell MTS Place.

Last night's show was the 10th performance in Winnipeg, MB.

The next Def Leppard show takes place in Edmonton, AB on 11th July.
