DEF LEPPARD Live In Quebec City, QC 2025 (Show Report/Setlist)

Def Leppard played a 2025 tour show last night in Quebec City, QC with 18 songs performed.
The show took place at the 100,000 capacity Plaines D'Abraham.
An outdoor festival show.
The first show in this city since 2019.
Big Crowd In Quebec
After a run of shows in the USA the band made their way up to Canada and a return to where it all began 42 years ago.
Quebec City, the scene of their very first show in Canada on the Pyromania tour.
That show was indoors but this was also a return to a massive outdoor festival called Festival D’été de Quebec (FEQ for short).
Taking place at the massive 100,00 capacity Plaines D'Abraham on the Bell Stage.
Last played in July 2013 and one of if not the biggest headline crowd played to in Canada or the USA with just over 80,000 in attendance.
90,000 had attended a show here the night before as part of the ongoing festival.
In the lead up to show time it became clear the weather was not great and that it might even affect the show actually taking place.
Bad Weather
A member of April Wine posted a video from the stage showing dark skies and reported that it was now raining heavily.
April Wine did take to the stage at 7pm as scheduled though.
A band who opened at least five shows in their native Canada on the 1993 Adrenalize tour alongside Ugly Kid Joe, Sven Gali and Meatloaf.
Extreme Weather
As Extreme were on stage starting at 8pm all now seemed well but during the end of their set Rick posted his usual pre show video (including a brief appearance by Joe).
He revealed the bad weather an hour or two earlier was worse than it first appeared and could have seen the show called off.
Bad storms bringing thunder, lightning and strong winds as well as torrential rain.
Or as Rick put it:
"So wow, what a weather event today. We're in Quebec, wonderful festival. We played this once before I believe."
"So we're looking forward to it but this afternoon the rain came down, and the wind, and the lightning, it was pretty amazing."
"But stopped play for a minute, but everybody got on stage. April Wine got on. Extreme are on now. And we're getting ready to go on shortly.".
Luckily the only thunder for Def Leppard was to be his own drum kit later on.
Extreme Support
Unlike April Wine, Extreme were technically directly supporting Def Leppard for the first time having played on a different stage in Ocean City.
They sounded in great form with a set that included the big hits 'Hole Hearted' and 'More Than Words'.
Guitarist Nuno Bettencourt arriving in time, having flown from England after playing the Black Sabbath show in Birmingham the day before.
Big Stage At FEQ
And the thunder started at 9:30pm as Def Leppard took to the massive stage for their second appearance here.
The first show in this city since 2019 and first in Canada since playing the equally massive Rogers Centre in Toronto in August 2024.
No Rogers sponorship in Quebec, last night it was the turn of Bell - the band playing on the Bell Stage at the massive Plaines D'Abraham.
So big it could hold up to 100,000 people but the weather might have affected the attendance a bit more than in 2013.
No word yet on how big the crowd was but likely over 50 or 60,000 or so.
Potentially the biggest crowd yet of the 2025 tour and possibly more than the just over 50,000 who saw them on the beach in Ocean City, MD in May.
And definitely the biggest stage with massive screens used either side of the main stage that were so big they were even bigger than the main stage area itself.
The crew making full use of the extra screens and giving the crowd possibly the best view yet of the 2025 show (as can be seen in the few videos that have surfaced so far).
Two more "live" debuts" for the Quebec crowd who've only seen them here with 'Just Like '73' and 'This Guitar' being played here for the first time.
'Die Hard The Hunter' getting it's one previous play here back in June 1988 on the Hysteria tour.
This was only the third time the band have played outdoors in this city after the 2013 show and a smaller outdoor show on the X tour in 2003.
Like the previous show in Uncasville, another contender for best show yet of the tour with the larger staging making it extra special for the thousands of fans in attendance.
Joe thanking the crowd in French at the end.
Quebec being a mostly French speaking province.
Now two more days off to relax for the band before heading over to Manitoba as the five date Canadian trek continues.
A brief return to a stadium setting and the next four shows will also see them exposed to possible bad weather with each one being outdoors (hopefully not!).
Two 'Rockin' Thunder' shows followed by 'Country Thunder' and a 'Bluesfest', what could go wrong?!.
18 Song Setlist
An 18 song setlist was played.
'Just Like '73' and 'This Guitar' were played here for the first time.
Quebec City History
The first visit to Quebec City was in June 1983 on the Pyromania tour which was also the first show in Canada.
They returned to the same venue, Colisee de Quebec, in June 1988 on the Hysteria tour for an In The Round show.
A second In The Round show then took place on the Adrenalize tour at the same venue in August 1992.
They returned again to this venue in 1996 and 2000 on the Slang and Euphoria tours.
August 2003 saw the first outdoor show at L'Agora Du Vieux Port.
The Colisee Pepsi Arena was played in August 2008 which included the live debut of 'Go' on the Sparkle Lounge tour.
The first visit to this festival took place in July 2013.
Then they played at Centre Vidéotron for the first time in June 2016.
The last visit came in July 2019 with a second show at the Centre Vidéotron.
Last night's show was the 11th performance in Quebec City.
The next Def Leppard show takes place in Winnipeg, MB on 9th July.
