DEF LEPPARD Live In Albuquerque, NM 2025 (Show Report/Setlist)

Def Leppard played a 2025 tour show last night in Albuquerque, NM with 18 songs performed.

The show took place at the 15,000 capacity Isleta Amphitheater.

A return to another outdoor amphitheatre venue.

The first visit to this city since September 2018 with Journey.

Back In New Mexico

After kicking off leg two of the Summer Tour in California the band took a trip over to New Mexico.

To a well played venue and a city first played back in June 1980 on their debut American tour.

That show was indoors but this one saw them back outside in the heat at the Isleta Amphitheater in front of up to 15,000 fans.

Like some of the other venues played in 2025 another roofless amphitheatre, at least for the crowd.

This one looks not unlike the USANA Amp in Salt Lake City with a background of mountains and desert landscape in the distance behind the stage.

Would there be storms and a show postponement as there was here in 2018?.

Despite news of possible storms, and a local dust storm, before show time, the show went off without any problems.

No storms, no delays.

Bret Michaels

The crowd got to see a spectacular sunset behind the stage area as Bret Michaels returned for his fourth and final show with Def Leppard of 2025.

Having also played before them in Rogers, AR, Birmingham, AL and Saratoga Springs, NY.

Starting at 8pm, his set featured mostly Poison hits once again including 'Every Rose Has It's Thorn' with everyone lighting up their phones.

He ended as ever with 'Nothin' But A Good Time'.

Albuquerque Gets Rocked

Once again this outdoor amphitheatre (or amphitheater) show started at around 9:20pm.

The sun now set and time for Def Leppard tock rock the 15,000 crowd in the darkness of the desert.

Turned out to be much louder at the venue than it was online.

But enough video footage shows the band played another great show on this 2025 Summer tour of many different venues.

After the indoor show in Lincoln they were back to the big outdoor stage and full lighting rig for their eighth time at this venue.

No surprises in the first half of the set but after 'Die Hard The Hunter' there would be a slight deviation from the normal proceedings.

Baby Announcement

Something slightly different before 'This Guitar' with Joe saying he'd been handed a piece of paper and then announcing that a couple in the crowd are expecting a baby girl.

He may have done this before but I can't remember this happening at a show (read all of Joe's words below and view the video).

The only thing that springs to mind is the baby making some noise during the Hysteria On The High Seas cruise Q & A show (on the cursed MSC Divina 'death' ship).

As you can see from the videos the rest of the show saw the band and crowd in good form.

Band playing brilliantly and the crowd singing along as they ended with the big Pyromania/Hysteria hits.

'PSSOM' ending the show as usual before the 11pm curfew.

No storms this time in Albuquerque, just another massive crowd rocked.

Next up they move over to Iowa and return to a State Fair Grandstand stage.

18 Song Setlist

An 18 song setlist was played.

'Just Like '73' and 'This Guitar' were both played here for the first time.

Albuquerque History

The first visit to Albuquerque was in June 1980 on their first American tour with Judas Priest.

That show was played at Tingley Coliseum which would be played again in April 1983 supporting Billy Squier.

They returned to this venue for two In The Round shows in February 1988 on the Hysteria tour and December 1992 on the Adrenalize tour.

After a gap of 8 years they would play here again in September 2000.

The X tour saw them play outdoors here for the first time at ABQ Journal Pavilion (now Isleta Amphitheater) in June 2003.

The band returned indoors to Tingley Coliseum in 2005.

A run of shows at Isleta Amphitheater started in October 2006 on the YEAH1 tour under the name Journal Pavilion.

More shows followed in 2009 and 2011.

They moved to the Sandia Casino Amphitheater in September 2012.

Isleta Amphitheater was then played under it's current name in 2015 and 2016.

The last visit here took place in September 2018 after the first show attempt earlier in the month was postponed during Journey's set due to bad storms.

Last night's show was the 15th performance in Albuquerque.

The next Def Leppard show takes place in Des Moines, IA on 14th August.

Joe Elliott - Baby Announcement/This Guitar Intro

"Thank you very much."

"How we doing out there, are we good?"

"Here's something a bit different, I've never done this before."

"This is not a request show, we all know that."

"But I was handed this earlier on."

"It's not a lawsuit, but it is, I'm gonna call it a gender reveal right."

"So we've got a couple in here called Zane and Sophia."

"Well anyway they would like me to announce that they are about to have a little baby and it's a girl."

"So wherever you are Zane and Sophia congratulations."

"And make sure if we're still around in 18 years time, no, make that ten year's time."

"You bring her to her first ever gig at a Def Leppard show alright."

"Anymore requests while we're here?."

"As you can see we're not about to play you any speed metal."

"But we're gonna slow it down a bit and we're gonna do something a little different."

"And I'm gonna introduce everybody on this one."

"And once again we've already met him once but let's do it again from Belfast in Northern Ireland Mr. Vivian Campbell!."

"All the way from Walthamstow in the east end of London Mr. Phil Collen!."

"It's August 2025 which means that almost to day the day I met somebody, well it's 48 years ago now, and we had a dream and we're still dreaming."

"My best mate on the bass guitar Mr. Rick Savage!."

"Last but not least, shaking his money maker, Mr. Rick Allen!."

"So here's a song that young Phillip wrote many many many years ago."

"But we only recorded it relatively recently, it's on the last album Diamond Star Halos."

"We recorded this with a good friend of ours called Alison Krauss who sadly can't be here tonight."

"So we will endeavour to do our best without her."

"This one's called This Guitar."

Joe Elliott - End Of Photograph Speech

"Albuquerque, New Mexico!."

"Thanks for having us."

"Thanks for coming."

"Thanks for being here."

"Catch you next time."

"Goodnight!."
