15 Years Ago DEF LEPPARD At VH1 Big In '05 Awards (Video/Photos)
Def Leppard performed at the VH1 Big In '05 Awards show on this day in 2005 and video footage/photos are available.
The show took place at Sony Pictures Studios Stage 15 in Culver City, CA.
The second largest sound stage in the world. The show was broadcast a day later by VH1.
A second awards show appearance in the city in late 2005 after appearing at the Spike TV Awards show in November.
This event was organised by VH1 to recognise the biggest acts of the year and was held in 2000, 2001, 2004, 2005 and 2006.
The band did not receive an award but did perform a live version of 'Pour Some Sugar On Me' to close the show which can be seen via the YouTube link. Media photos are also available via Gettyimages.
Other performers included Audioslave, Beck, Fall Out Boy and INXS.
Kanye West won two of the 11 awards given out which had titles like "BIG Entertainer" and "BIG Music Artist".
Viewers could vote online for which of these 3 songs they wanted the band to play on the show - 'PSSOM', 'ROA' or 'Photograph'.
