The album, released on 3rd August 1987, went on to reach over 12 million sales in the USA alone and over 20 million around the world.

Also on this day in 2000 the band played a show in Bozeman, MT during the Euphoria tour.
This was the band's first ever visit to the city and currently the only time they have played here.
