The venue is located in the city centre and very close to the Fifth Third Field baseball stadium.

It was opened in 2009 and replaced the old Toledo Sports Arena which was demolished in 2007.

That venue had been located a few minutes away, just across the Maumee River which runs through the city centre.

Phil Collen performed 'Save That Goodness' with Tesla during their opening set.
