The venue is located in the Rose Quarter area of the city centre and ext to the Willamette River. the Moda Center venue was built next to it in October 1995 as the Rose Garden Arena.
It was opened in November 1960 as the Memorial Coliseum.
In 2011 it was renamed as the Veterans Memorial Coliseum Portland.
They would return here for two more shows in October 1988 near the very end of the 'Hysteria' world tour.
