It was opened in December 1968 as the Athletic & Convocation Center.

Since 1987 the name has been shortened to just The Joyce Center.

It was written on concert tickets at the time as Athletic & Convocation Center Arena.

This show was rescheduled from the 14th June due to Joe's throat problems.
