Wednesday, 3rd August 1983
Prev  |  Next
  • Location / Seattle, WA, USA
  • Venue / Seattle Center Coliseum

The first show by the band in this city since April 1983 on the Billy Squier support tour.

The second time at this venue.

The venue is located in the city centre and within the Seattle Center complex that also includes the Space Needle, Memorial Stadium and Museum of Pop Culture and on the coast of Elliott Bay.

It was opened in April 1962 as Washington State Pavilion.

It was then named as Washington State Coliseum from 1962 to 1962, Seattle Center Coliseum from 1964 to 1995.

And then KeyArena at Seattle Center from 1995 to 2018 when it closed down for a major renovation.

It reopened in 2021 as the Climate Pledge Arena with an increased capacity of 19,125.

Joe told the crowd to move back early in the show to avoid people being crushed.

Footage from this was (apparently) professionally recorded by the band but it has never been released.

A very good soundboard recording exists from this show and is sometimes called 'Wasted In Seattle'.

One of the few from this era alongside the LA Forum show.
