- Location / London, England
- Venue / Hammersmith Odeon
The first show by the band in this city since March 1983 on the first 'Pyromania' UK/European tour.
The 8th time at this venue.
The venue is located in the Hammersmith area of the city next to the Hammersmith Flyover/A4 road and not far from the River Thames and Riverside Studios which the band would play in June 1999 for the 'TFI Friday' TV show.
It was opened in March 1932 as the Gaumont Palace.
It was then given its most famous name of Hammersmith Odeon from 1962 to 1992.
After that it became Labatt's Apollo (1992-1996), Hammersmith Apollo (1996-2002, 2006-2009 and 2013), Carling Apollo Hammersmith (2002-2006), HMV Hammersmith Apollo (2009-2012).
It was redeveloped in 2013 when it was given its current name of Eventim Apollo.
The third show in London of the year. The final full headline show of 1983 capping off a huge year for the band.
Rick Savage later admitted that this show didn't represent the band at their best due to tour fatigue.
The last UK show for Rick Allen with two arms before his December 1984 car accident.
He would go on to perform with the band again (with both arms) in London when they taped the 'Supersonic' TV performance of 'Too Late For Love'.
An after show end of tour party happened after this show billed as - "Rock Till They Dropped and of World Pyromaniac Tour 1983 Party!".
It took place at Chelsea Venue at the Chelsea F.C. Stamford Bridge stadium.
Attendees included the band's parents, Phil Lewis and Simon Laffy from Girl, Bananarama and members of ZZ Top.
A decent quality audience recording exists from this show.
