- Location / Irvine, CA, USA
- Venue / Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre
The first show by the band in this city.
Another show supporting Billy Squier on his 'Emotions In Motion' tour.
The first of two nights at this venue.
The first time at this venue.
The venue was located in the Laguna Hills area of California not far from Phil Collen's home and 45 miles south east of Los Angeles city centre.
It was opened in August 1981 as Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre until 1999.
It was named as the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre from 2000 to 2014 before reverting back to the original name.
The venue was closed down on 30th October 2016 and turned into a housing development.
A decent audience recording exists from the second show and is sometimes incorrectly listed as being from this show. Joe references the crowd from "last night".
