- Location / Sheffield/High Green, England
- Venue / High Green Liberal Club / The Liberal
The first show by the band in this city since earlier in June 1979.
The first time at this venue.
This venue was located in High Green a northern suburb of Sheffield and 7.7 miles North of the city centre.
The band were reportedly paid 85 pounds for this show.
The venue went on to become The Pickwick pub and was closed in 2011 and has since been demolished.
The venue Def Leppard played has nothing to do with the High Green Workingmen's Club which is in a different location.
One local fan reports the local scouts hut next door was disturbed by the noise from the show with the scout master quoted as saying "What kid of name is Def Leppard anyway?".
Photos from this show where later featured in the 'Animal Instinct' biography and various UK rock magazines (see Photo Galleries).
