It was opened in 1907.
The band's first ever headline show in London and only their second full public concert in the capital.
The members of Queen met whilst studying here in the early 1970s and played their second ever show in the same hall on 18th July 1970.
Brian May also booked a gig for Jimi Hendrix in this hall whilst a student and part of the Student Union Entertainment Committee.

"This was the Def Leppard's first headlining show in London. Because there was no dressing room at the hall, the band switched into their stage clothes behind the PA stacks."
