The venue was part of the Miami Beach Amusement Park in the Aberavon beach area near the Little Warren Playing Fields and was closed in 1983 and later demolished and turned into a housing estate (see Google street view and area map linked below).
Aberavon is 1.6 miles from the town of Port Talbot.
It is also 10 miles along the coast of Swansea Bay from the city of Swansea (the second largest city in Wales after Cardiff).
Interestingly the flyer for the show mentions the band were "Back on Demand" suggesting they had already played here in 1979.
There is currently no information of when that show was played.
Iron Maiden would pay the venue a few weeks later on 26th October.
The building was named as both Bier Keller and Bier Kellar on show posters.
Although Def Leppard have never been back, Joe would return to this area in December 2014 with the Down 'n' Outz.
The band played at the Planet Rockstock event 13 miles down the coast from here in Trecco Bay (Porthcawl).
