DEF LEPPARD Currently #1 In Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame 2019 Fan Vote

Def Leppard have today overtaken Stevie Nicks in the 2019 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction fan voting.

Joe also spoke about the band's nomination on his radio show last night.

The induction ceremony takes place on 29th March 2019 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The 2019 nominees list was published on 9th October with Def Leppard included for the first time having been eligible since 2005.

The band were at Number Two initially behind Stevie Nicks who is being nominated as a solo artist. She was already inducted with her band Fleetwood Mac.

On Saturday evening the gap began to close significantly until just after 12:15am UK time when Def Leppard finally went into the top spot.

They overtook Stevie by just a handful of votes as shown in photo one below.

the gap soon increased to over 1,000 and has continued to grow. The latest screenshot shows a gap of almost 5,000.

2018 Inductees Bon Jovi won the Fan Vote with over 1 million total votes.

The Fan Vote for the Rock Hall takes place between 9th October to 9th December - VOTE HERE (Once per day)

What astonishes me though is amongst all the other nominations this band were involved for the very first time also 21 years after they were first eligible to be nominated. I find that fascinating.
