Def Leppard bassist Rick Savage been interviewed about the Diamond Star Halos album and mentioned the song From Here To Eternity.

'Diamond Star Halos' is the band's 12th studio album.

As announced on 17th March it will be released on Friday 27th May 2022.

Sav and Joe recently went on a press visit to Paris and Sav spoke to Music Waves about the new 'Diamond Star Halos' album.

Sav talked about making the album, classic albums, Adrenalize disappointment, Queen, new songs sound, Alison Krauss, Mike Garson, Slang sound of Liquid Dust and U Rok Mi, Slang album, SOS Emergency/From Here To Eternity's Led Zeppelin influence, album expectations and how much longer the band will carry on.

The fact they went to France and Joe also spoke to the German press seems to indicate probably venues for The Stadium Tour 2023.

The most likely French venue being the Stade De France in Paris.

From Here To Eternity

Interestingly Sav discussed his song 'From Here To Eternity' which is compared to Led Zeppelin and reveals his inspiration for writing it and his songwriting process.

He also repeated the stories of how the two main guests came to be on the album.

Future Album

Sav suggests there will be another album after this one in the future.

15 More Years

Sav says he hopes the band can continue for at least 10 if not 15 more years.

From Here To Eternity (Translated)

"'From Here To Eternity' is a song that I composed, and there is indeed an inspiration that comes from Led Zeppelin, but also from the Beatles and Queen. I wanted to write a song with a 1940s black and white film in mind about murders, gangsters, etc. (laughs). Visually, I saw it in my head."

Writing Songs/Lyrics (Translated)

"I always start writing a song with a riff. It's very easy for me. The hardest part is finishing the job. But writing lyrics, writing melodies, it's complicated. Joe finishes the job in general (laughs). On 'From Here To Eternity', I had lyric ideas that I sent to Joe, but he was like, "No, that's not good enough!" (Laughs). I said to him: "It's not bad!" But he told me: "It has to be better than not bad! We try to constantly improve what we do". The final version was much better than I imagined."
