Show Intro
"Welcome once again to The Joe Elliott Show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock."
"It is always, always a pleasure to be with you."
"We have sixty minutes, one little hour, to play some fantastic tunes."
"So let's all says bang, zoom, crazy, hello! to Cheap Trick."
Cheap Trick
"Now there's a band that's never been afraid to show their musical influences on their sleeves."
"The beginning of that song is so reminiscent of the Yardbirds' Shapes Of Things, but then it goes off in its own brilliantly, glam-tastic direction."
"It's a wonderful bit of work."
"As I said in the intro, the album is Bang, Zoom, Crazy, Hello."
"It is Cheap Trick, the song Blood Red Lips."
Led Zeppelin
"Now you know that old classic saying, go big or go home. Let's go big."
"And before that, all 10 minutes and 49 seconds of the epic."
"That's what the working title was for Carouselambra, and that is a rough mix which features on disc 2 of the 1979 album by Led Zeppelin, In Through The Out Door."
The Rolling Stones
"Well couldn't get much different there, could we?."
"Coming in a whopping 1 minute and 49 seconds."
"That is The Rolling Stones from the album, England's Newest Hitmakers, with that classic bit of work Not Fade Away."
California Breed
"Right, let's go back 10 years to when we first discovered the near-legendary Andrew Watt, producer of the Rolling Stones and Ozzy Osbourne, etc, etc."
"Back in 2014, he was merely just the guitar player in California Breed."
"And before that, we heard California Breed featuring Jason Bonham on drums, Glenn Hughes on bass and vocals, and Andrew Watt on guitar, and there was so much buzz around that band at the time."
"Sadly, it just kind of fell apart, but they made a great album, the song that we heard, Chemical Rain."
"You are listening to the Joe Elliott Show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock."
"Coming up, Crisis what crisis?."
Sammy Hagar
"Full confession, I wasn't really aware of this song."
"I remember reading about this album many, many years ago, but it's one that passed me by at the time."
"But a friend of mine sent me this and said, you do realise who's playing on this song, don't you?."
"It is Sammy Hagar from his 1997 album, Marching To Mars."
"But who plays on it? Well, Denny Carmassi is the drummer, Bill Church is the bass player, and the guitar player is Ronnie Montrose."
"Yes, it is the original four-piece, the original Montrose line-up, Mark 1 for the debut album back in 73, reunited for the first and only time ever on record with a great bit of work called Leaving the Warmth Of The Womb."
Supertramp
"And before that, Supertramp from the album."
"There was a follow-up to their breakthrough album, Crime Of The Century."
"The album is Crisis What Crisis, the song that we just heard, The Meaning."
Nick Drake
"As we all know, music takes us in various different directions depending on our mood."
"And if you fancy sitting around in a bath with some scented candles and the lights turned down low, you can't go wrong with a bit of Nick Drake."
"What a wonderful artist he was from the album Five Leave Left we just heard the cello song."
Geordie
"Right, Brian Johnson has a question for us all."
"This is Geordie."
"And before that, we heard Geordie featuring the pre-ACDC Brian Johnson."
"What a guy."
"The song that we heard, Can You Do It?."
David Bowie
"I have to say I'm really looking forward to this new box set that's coming out."
"I believe it's called Rock and Roll Star."
"It is essentially an overview of the whole Ziggy Stardust period."
"There's even an alternative version of the album of the way that it may have been had certain songs being left off and other songs put on."
"And in my humble opinion, along with Velvet Goldmine, the song that we just heard should have been on the album."
"It's a great bit of work."
"That version we just heard has actually already been released many times."
"He recorded the song a couple of times."
"That's the glam version, if you like, which has been a bonus track for many years now on Man Who Sold The World."
"But it is going to be on this box set. The song is Holy Holy."
Show Outro
"And that, my friends, is about it for this week."
"It's been a real pleasure, as always."
"Always will be, always has been."
"I shall be back with you next week at exactly the same time, so don't go anywhere."
"So until then, let's go out on this one."
"I love to go out on something positive and uplifting, and there's nothing better than a great Struts track."
"And from the redux version of Everybody Wants, his could have been me."
"Until next week, see ya!."
