Def Leppard played a rare club show during the Slang world tour in Buenos Aires, Argentina on this day in 1997 and photos are available.

The show took place at the Dr. Jekyll Club.

The smaller show came one day after their Argentine debut at the Teatro Gran Rex which was filmed by Much Music TV. It was attended by just a couple of hundred fans.

Zizy from Buenos Aires submitted some rare photos in 2017 which were taken by a professional photographer at this show.

This extra club show featured a 17 song setlist packed with rarely played songs.

They had played a similar show in Exeter, England at the end of the UK Slang tour in November 1996.

The show was opened with 'Gift Of Flesh' which had not been regularly featured on the tour since the first few US shows in June/July 1996.

A snippet of 'Pretty Vacant' by the Sex Pistols was added into a long version of 'Another Hit And Run'. A song they had covered at an early show in 1978.

'High 'N' Dry (Saturday Night)' returned along with 'Billy's Got A Gun' which had only been played three or four times in 1996/1997 and would only be played once more after this on the 2002 Japanese X/Ten tour.

Towards the end of the show 'Ziggy Stardust' was played electrically for only the third time after Exeter 1996 and Toronto 1995.

The band (eventually) returned to this city in September 2017 on their South American tour.
