DEF LEPPARD Live 2026 Summer Tour In Dortmund (Show Report/Setlist)
Def Leppard played a Live 2026 tour show in Dortmund, Germany last night with 19 songs performed.
The show took place at the 16,500 capacity Westfalenhalle 1 @ Westfalenhallen.
The band's first visit to Dortmund since 1983.
The third time at this venue.
Back In Dortmund
Having played an outdoor festival in Belgium the band headed back to Germany for their next show after three years away.
No Mönchengladbach, Munich or Hannover this time but a return to somewhere not played since way back in 1983.
Dortmund at the Westfalenhalle or Westfalenhallen.
A 16,000 plus capacity indoor arena that was played for the Rock Pop Festival and filmed for German TV.
So long ago that only one of the songs played that night was repeated here.
Starting again at 9pm the band played to a near sold out crowd in the packed arena.
The return of the full 19 song setlist and the full staging which seemed to impress many of the fans posting online, even though there weren't many of them.
"what a Show - WOW" was one reaction to the visuals.
Having seen the Dortmund 1983 video footage for all these years we finally got to see what the venue looks like inside.
Turns out it looks a bit like the Tacoma Dome.
This was the last venue played in Germany before Rick's accident and soon it will be 40 years since his comeback which included two shows on the Monsters Of Rock tour in Nuremberg and Mannheim.
Of course, as noted by Joe at the end, they will be back in Germany next month for the Wacken festival and another outdoor show in the country.
Joe greeted the crowd in German before 'Let's Get Rocked' with - "Guten Abend Dortmund!." (good evening).
And it seems Joe has now decided to retire the 'Until Next Time' ending...at least for this show.
But he did acknowledge the crowd with - "Amazing thank you so much." at the end so it looks like another great show played on this tour.
And most of the show has already made it to YouTube.
Two days off now for the band to ponder whether to bother to continue to watch the World Cup after last night...and rest up before the next show.
Or melt in the heat the UK has right now.
Next up a return to Vivian's home city of Belfast and back outside.
19 Song Setlist
'Rejoice' was played here for the first time along with most of the set.
Only 'Rock Of Ages' is known to have been played here in 1983.
Dortmund History
The first visit to Dortmund took place on 17th/18th December 1983 on the Pyromania tour.
Two shows as part of the Rock Pop concert broadcast by German TV in February 1984.
Also featuring Iron Maiden and Judas Priest and many others.
Footage was later released officially on YouTube.
Last nights show was the third performance in Dortmund.
The next Def Leppard show takes place in on 26th June in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
