Def Leppard played another show on The World Tour 2023 last night in Helsinki/Hyvinkää, Finland with 17 songs performed.

The show took place at the 30,000 capacity RockFest festival site.

The first show in this city since .

A second show in Scandinavia.

Rock In Finland

Do ya wanna get rocked?.

Up to 30,000 Finnish fans apparently did as The World Tour 2023 continued with a third outdoor festival show in a row.

And in a new time zone two hours ahead of the UK which saw the band start at 10:30pm local time.

They rocked the RockFest crowd until midnight local time.

A second visit to this festival after the 2019 show at an airfield site that is actually 35 miles North of Helsinki and on the same date.

In Hyvinkää, to be precise, on a site surrounded by trees.

Hanoi Rocks

Joe had mentioned meeting up with former Hanoi Rocks signer Michael Monroe on his radio show last week.

And as you can see below he did, along with Nikki Sixx.

If you know anything about the history of Motley Crue and Hanoi Rocks you'll know a meeting with anyone from either band seemed unlikely but clearly they are now on good terms.

Michael Monroe, who plays the festival today, also posted footage of himself watching both DL and MC from side stage on his IG stories.

Not being able to decide between Helsinki or Hyvinkää they went with RockFest on the screens at the end of the show.

Joe also informed the crowd at the end that they had been "amazing".

Sav agreed apparently - see his IG post below.

The 21st performance by Def Leppard this year so far.

Or 22nd if you count the Piano Room show.

17 Song Setlist

"The same 17 song setlist played once more.", End Quote.

All three 'Diamond Star Halos' songs played in Finland for the first time.

Finland History

The band first visited nearby Helsinki in June 1981 with Rainbow on the High 'n' Dry tour.

Since then almost all shows in Finland were played in Helsinki.

Following a cancelled show in March 1988 the return would not happen until May 1993 on the Adrenalize tour at the Ice Halle.

After a long wait they played the same venue in June 2008 on the Sparkle Lounge tour.

The 9th June 2019 saw them play in Hyvinkää for the first time at this same festival.

Making last night's show only the fifth time the band have played in Finland for a full concert.

They did play two playback songs (Now/LLWTG) at a charity festival in a stadium in Helsinki in August 2002 during the X album promo tour.

The next Def Leppard show takes place in Trondheim, Norway on 11th June at Trondheim Rocks. Continuing the Rock theme.
