32 Years Ago DEF LEPPARD's HAVE YOU EVER Single At Number 12 In The USA
Def Leppard's classic single Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad reached Number 12 in the USA on this day in 1992.
The third single to be released from the Adrenalize album.
It had been released on 4th August 1992 and followed on from 'Make Love Like A Man' and 'Let's Get Rocked' as their third hit of the year.
It peaked at Number 12 in its 11th week on the chart having entered at 94 on the 22nd August.
15 weeks were spent inside the Top 40. The highest charting single from the 'Adrenalize' album in the USA.
The chart run of 20 weeks makes it one of only four singles to spend 20 or more weeks on the Billboard chart. The others being 'Two Steps Behind' (1993) and 'PSSOM', 'Love Bites' (both 1988).
In later years various band members have said this single was their highest selling in the USA in terms of physical copies sold.
