35 Years Ago DEF LEPPARD End HYSTERIA European Tour In Bourges, France (Photos)

Def Leppard played the final show of the Hysteria European tour in Bourges, France on 8th April 1988 and photos are available.

The show which took place at Le Printemps de Bourges festival.

The last of 24 shows played in Europe during March and April 1988.

The tour leg had started on 4th March in Stockholm, Sweden and saw the band perform to sold out crowds in 9 different countries.

Their most successful European run alongside the 1993 'Adrenalize' tour which was of a similar length.

The first ever visit to this city and to this annual festival which started in 1977.

The festival ran from 1st to 10th April 1988 with over 200 acts performing on around 13 different stages.

Def Leppard's headline show took place in the temporary Le Stadium venue with M.S.G. and Little Bob Story on the same bill.

In honour of their final night supporting Def Leppard M.S.G. guitarist Michael Schenker decided to have a little fun and joined the band on stage during 'Hysteria'.

A shown in photo one he was wearing only a pair of white underpants.

The fact that none of his bands have since opened for the band is probably a coincidence...

The usual 14 song setlist was performed without the addition of the occasional encore track of 'Travellin' Band'.

This show was recorded by an audience member and is of decent quality.

Following the conclusion of the European run the band headed home to the UK for their second visit of the tour.
