DEF LEPPARD's DIAMOND STAR HALOS Is Classic Rock Writers Album Of The Year

Def Leppard's latest release Diamond Star Halos has been named as Album Of The Year by the writers of Classic Rock Magazine in the UK.

'Diamond Star Halos' is the band's 12th studio album.

The first studio album since 2015 was announced on 17th March and then released on Friday 27th May 2022.

'Kick' was issued on 17th March as the first single just as the album was announced and followed by 'Fire It Up'.

Earlier today Classic Rock Magazine in the UK announced that the album has been voted as the best of 2022 in its annual writers poll.

The latest End-Of-Year Issue 309 of the magazine is now available to buy.

It features Joe on the cover and inside contains the full Top 50 albums of the year.

Album Of The Year

The 'Diamond Star Halos' album was voted as the Number One album of 2022 by the writers of the magazine.

They include Paul Elliott who wrote a very favourable review and has written liner notes for many of the most recent Def Leppard box sets.

Past Classic Rock Awards

In 2016 the self-titled 'Def Leppard' album won Album Of The Year at the Classic Rock Roll Of Honour Awards.

The ceremony took place in Tokyo, Japan with Joe and Phil accepting the award along with Phil performing on the night.

At the same awards in 2006 'Hysteria' won the Classic Album award.

The event ran from 2005 to 2016 and was voted for by readers.
