Def Leppard another show on The World Tour 2023 last night in Lytham, England with 17 songs performed.

The show took place at the 22,500 capacity Lytham Green festival site.

The first ever show in this seaside town.

The last festival show on this tour leg.

Lytham Festival

Making their debut in Lytham the day after the prestigious concert at Wembley Stadium in London.

And playing only their third ever UK festival after the 1980 Reading show and four appearances at Donington Park for the Monsters Of Rock and Download.

A crowd of up to 22.500 packed the small field known as Lytham Green.

The last night of a five day festival also featuring Kim Wilde, Sting and fellow performer of the Hector/Robson penned 'Long Long Way To Go', Lionel Richie.

The band playing on the festival's own staging and a much smaller setup including a smaller single video screen behind them.

Live By the Sea

A seaside town and a festival set right next to the beach with the stage facing away from the Irish sea and looking towards houses.

Houses with a great view of the stage if anyone stayed there to view the show.

Def Leppard's set was played in full daylight kicking off sometime after 6pm and following on from Rick Savage's son Tyler and his band VIVAS.

Playing with the band for the second time after the Bramall Lane show in May.

Lionel Richie and others apparently had to cope with rain storms in the days before this show but no rain for Def Leppard.

Windmills And Wind

Instead of rain they had to cope with strong sea winds blowing in from the Sea.

The wind battering the band on stage and was mentioned several times by Joe.

A nearby windmill bringing back memories of the recording sessions for Hysteria in 1984-1987 when they lived close to a windmill when recording at Wisseloord Studios in Hilversum.

And now Joe heads home with the rest of the band to Ireland on the band's jet.

Captured flying over the festival site by the organisers on their IG stories before the show started.

17 Song Setlist

The same 17 song setlist played once more.

All three 'Diamond Star Halos' songs played in Lytham for the first time (along with all other songs!).

The next Def Leppard show takes place in Dublin, Ireland on 4th July. A third home town show on this tour.
