Slang On Top Of The Pops
The band made their third appearance on the show in eight months as the single was at Number 17 in the main Top 40 chart.
They would go on to appear again in July from Clarkston/Detroit performing 'Work It Out'.
This performance of 'Slang' once again featured playback music but with Joe and Phil doing live vocals.

Alanis Morissette and her band featuring Taylor Hawkins on drums were also in the studios with 'Ironic' broadcast the next day.
Joe and Phil went on to recall the story of meeting Taylor backstage after his passing in 2022.
The band were in Los Angeles on 9th May 1996 playing their first concert of the 'Slang' era and giving 'Work It Out' its live debut.
'Slang' would go on to get its live debut on 30th May 1996 in Singapore.
