Def Leppard performed on the popular Dutch TV show Countdown in late 1988 with official video now available.
The band appeared for the third time on the popular Dutch show 'Countdown'.
1988 Love Bites Performance
In December 1988 the band were already back in the Netherlands working on the 'In The Round-In Your Face' video audio and starting the follow-up to 'Hysteria'.
Just a few weeks after filming the video for 'Rocket' the band were back on TV promoting 'Love Bites' which was still the current single in the Netherlands.
Sometime in December they gave what is one of only two playback TV performances of 'Love Bites'.
They had already appeared on Countdown' in August 1987 performing 'Animal' and 'Pour Some Sugar On Me'.
'Countdown' was broadcast on Veronica TV in the Netherlands and also shown in the UK on either Super Channel or SKY TV.
Joe is seen wearing his Sex Pistols shirt which he would go on to wear at The Brit Awards in February 1989.
The band would perform with Steve just three or four more times in February and September 1989 on UK/European TV and at the MTV Awards in the USA.

Countdown
'Countdown' ran from 1978 to 1994 ans was billed as 'Europe's Number One Rock Show'.
Future MTV presenter Adam Curry hosted the band's 1987 performance and interviewed Joe and Rick.
Joe was also interviewed at least twice more on the shows with clips from both featured on 'Video Archive'.
One of these may have been from this same show.
The show's official YouTube channel has spent the last few years uploading hundreds of old performances but until now had not posted any of the three by Def Leppard.
