Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott was interviewed live today on talkSPORT radio about the third Down 'n' Outz studio album.

The show was hosted by ex-footballer Tony Cascarino and former SKY TV presenter Laura Woods who introduced the band at the 2014 NFL show.

Joe spoke to The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast to promote the new Down 'n' Outz album. Joe talked about the 2014 NFL Performance, Down 'n' Outz, musical style, This Is How We Roll Album, Joe's Garage Studio, Staying Busy, Crowds, Sheffield United and having two bands.

The fourth new track from the album called Goodnight Mr. Jones was released on Friday 4th October. A tribute to the late great David Bowie.

"Well see the thing is because as I like to call it everybody's got their mother ships, in other words we're all in other bands. And they're all so busy that trying to get these guys into one room to do anything is it's like Are you guys free next week?. No, we're on tour for another three months."

"And then it's like OK but I can get ya. Oh alright brilliant so there's two or three days you know in about three weeks time where I can get them and we just crammed it in and then we'd have to sit and wait for three.four months before we could get back together and move on to do some other stuff."

"So it actually took about three or four months to record but it was done over a five year period. So it was like having a painting in the corner of the room. You just nibble away at it and you come back to it and then after five years well it's finished there you go."
