STGO Rock City
Def Leppard have been announced as one of the four acts to play the new STGO Rock City Festival in Santiago, Chile on 30th September.
This will be the band's first ever visit to Chile.
The venue is the 47,000 capacity Estadio Monumental.
This event was moved from the Estadio Nacional in recent weeks as it clashed with a sporting event.
Local rumours suggested it would be cancelled or moved to either this venue or the Movistar arena.
The band had previously scheduled a show as Estadio Nacional on 18th April 1997.
The show was cancelled due to travel issues just a few days before it was due to take place.
As expected Guns N' Roses and The Who will headline day one of the event on 29th September.
Aerosmith and Def Leppard play day two on 30th September.
Tickets go on sale via Punto Ticket next week.
Three of the four possible shows with Aerosmith have now been confirmed. The others being Rio and Sao Paulo.
