Phil Collen On Why Def Leppard Filmed The 2016 Detroit Show

Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen was recently interviewed by Virginia radio and mentioned the new Live From Detroit DVD.

Phil spoke to DJ Tawne Hayes about the new release which comes out on 27th January in the UK and Japan (10th February elsewhere).

Phil talked about his first show and starting to play guitar, favourite guitar players, the Classic Rock Wards in 2016, the 2017 North American tour, producing the Tesla album, the new Live From Detroit DVD and his health and fitness.

Phil revealed why the band chose Detroit, MI to film the new DVD in last July.

"Yeah it's a DVD. It's a live concert DVD. We recorded Detroit last year actually. It's kind of a continuation of that tour. But you know everyone kept saying; 'This is the best we've ever seen you guys'. This is better than the 80s. The show looks better and all that so we felt a need to document it."
