Def Leppard played a small acoustic show in Sheffield, England 22 years ago today on 5th October 1995 and photos are available.

The band returned to the venue for the first time since playing a couple of early shows there in 1979.

They were originally paid 15 pounds by the owner Olga Marshall at the first show on 8th February 1979.

She presented him with another 15 pounds payment during the show introduction. Joe wrongly tried to correct the announcer who introduced them by saying they played there in 1978.

Most of the show was captured on film and used in the VHS release 'Video Archive'.

This was the final event of the Def Leppard Day celebrations organised by the local council after a fan led campaign to honour the band.

Event Details - The Wapentake Acoustic Concert

A nine song acoustic concert filmed for the 'Video Archive' VHS. Two new songs from 'Slang' were played for the first time - 'All I Want Is Everything' and 'Where Does Love Go When It Dies'.

The first full concert with Rick Allen playing acoustic drums since February 1984. He had briefly used a very small acoustic bass drum, hi-hat cymbal in early in 1993 for a few acoustic appearances on radio and TV.

Watch footage from the show on this YouTube playlist featuring most of the show.
