Heidi And Frank/95.5 KLOS - Joe Elliott Interview Quotes
His Voice/Health
"I'm feeling great. Yeah we had to postpone some shows because I got a really bad, bad, bad cough over the Christmas holidays. And it just didn't really clear up. You know we'd committed to these shows six months previously and I was just hoping and praying for everything to be fine. But by the time we got to Fort Lauderdale. It was pretty obvious that it was just not gonna come back there and then."
"So many doctors and things up your nose and down your throat later. I was told no permanent damage. It's just needs a good break. Proper rest and wait for the cough to dissipate and it has done and everything's coming back. Here I am."
"It was one of those wounded moments. You know it wasn't like it was an injury. It was akin to, I don't know, a quarterback getting a strained arm. he'll be fine in a couple of months sort of thing and that's what I'm expecting."
2016 Summer Tour
"Yeah absolutely. We're gonna make up as many of those dates as possible that we had to postpone. I think two or three of them have had to go away because the building availability has changed. But other than that we're gonna make up - we don't cancel. We always postpone and we don't do that very often either. So it's all part of a big 55 date tour all the way through the States this summer. It's huge. It's massive."
REO Speedwagon/Tesla
"That's right. Tesla again for sure. They were on with us last year. Styx are actually on some of the make up shows but only about four or five of them. And REO are on the rest of the shows yeah."
Irvine, CA Show In September
"Yeah which I'm really happy about because I remember a couple of years ago people telling us. This will be the last time you play here because they're knocking it down to turn it into apartments or something and I'm like really. They didn't even get planning permission which is good news."
Note - The local press said recently that this year the Irvine venue will be closed making this one Def Leppard's final show at the venue.
