The venue is located in the city centre close to the University Of Winnipeg and the Red River.
It was opened in November 2004 with the name changed from True North Centre to MTS Centre prior to its opening.
In 2017 it became known as the Bell MTS Place.
The band had been due to play here on 4th November 2009 before that tour leg was cancelled.
The band met local Mayor Brian Bowman before the show who had used 8 of the band's song titles in a council speech earlier in the week as a tribute..
