The venue is located to the South of the city centre and part of a sports complex that also includes the 39,500 capacity Anoeta Stadium/Reale Arena.
It was opened in 1998.
It is also known by the name Plaza de Toros de Illumbe due to it being used as a bullring.
The first of four shows in Spain with special guests Whitesnake and Europe.
A shorter set was played due to the time constraints.
The band did not play as 'Ded Flatbird' but did do a similar opening set.
The video screen mostly showed live footage of the band as they played.
