The venue is located in the city centre and next to the UPMC Park baseball stadium and on the coast of Lake Erie.
It was opened in June 1983 as the Erie Civic Center.
It was then named as the Louis J. Tullio Arena from 2008 to 2012 when it became the Erie Insurance Arena.
It was renovated from 2011 to 2013.
A change of setlist with the return of the 'High 'n' Dry' Side One opening in place of 'Rock! Rock!' and 'MLLAM'.
